Finding Your Items

Space offers several powerful ways to find exactly what you’re looking for. To get started, navigate to the Search page from the main navigation menu.

The main search bar is the quickest way to find an item. You can search by:

  • Name: “Dell XPS Laptop”
  • Description: “scratch on the corner”
  • ID: The unique identifier for an item.

Simply type your query and press Enter or tap the Search icon.

Search by Tag

Tags are a fast and effective way to filter your inventory. To search for a specific tag, type the hash symbol (#) followed by the tag name into the search bar.

  • Example: Typing #prop will show you all items that have been tagged as a “prop”.

As you type, a list of matching tags will appear, allowing you to select one easily.

Search with an Image

Have a picture of an item but don’t know what it’s called? Ritchie can help!

  1. Tap the image icon next to the search bar.
  2. Choose an image from your device’s gallery.
  3. Space will analyze the image and show you visually similar items from your inventory.

Advanced Search & Filters

For more specific queries, you can use the advanced search filters.

  1. Tap the settings icon next to the search bar to open the advanced search panel.
  2. Here, you can filter your items by specific criteria, such as:
    • Location: Show only items that are in a particular location (e.g., “Shelf A1”).

Ritchie’s Tip: You can combine filters for very powerful searches! For example, you could search for #prop and then add an advanced filter to only show props in the “Main Warehouse” location.

Once you find the item you’re looking for, just click on its card in the search results to view its full details. From there, you can edit the item or report a problem.
