What are Collections?
While Locations track where an item physically is, Collections are for grouping items based on what they are or what they’re for. A Collection is like a virtual folder or a playlist for your physical items.
This is incredibly useful for organizing items that belong together for a project but are stored in different places.
Example: The “Aetherium Echoes Show” Collection could contain:
Captain Eva's Flight Jacket
(from Wardrobe Storage)Aetherium Compass
(from the Workshop Repair Bench)Antique Wooden Chest
(currently leased out to a high school)
Creating a New Collection
- Navigate to the Collections page from the main navigation menu.
- Tap the main action button (with Ritchie’s face) to expand the menu.
- Tap the Add Collection icon.
- In the “Create New Collection” dialog:
- Enter a Collection Name.
- Optionally, add a Description.
- Click Create.
Your new, empty collection is now ready!
Adding Items to a Collection
Once a collection is created, you can start adding items to it.
- From the Collections page, click on the collection you want to add items to. This will take you to its detail page.
- Inside the collection, you’ll see a grid of items. Click the card that says Add Items.
- This opens the Item Picker, which shows all items in your inventory that are not already in this collection.
- Use the Search Bar at the top to find the items you want to add.
- Click on one or more item cards to select them. A checkmark will appear.
- When you’ve selected all the items you want to add, click the Add [X] Item(s) button at the bottom.
The selected items will now appear in your collection’s grid.
Ritchie’s Tip: To remove an item from a collection, simply go to the collection’s detail page and click the small X icon on the item card you wish to remove. This doesn’t delete the item from your inventory, it just removes it from that specific group.
