Viewing and Managing an Item
Once you’ve found an item through the Search page, clicking on its card will take you to the item detail page. This is your central hub for viewing and managing everything related to that specific item.
From here, you can perform two main types of actions: editing the item’s information or managing its status.
Editing Item Information
If you need to update an item’s name, description, tags, or custom attributes, you can enter editing mode.
- Tap the main action button (with Ritchie’s face) to expand the menu.
- Tap the Edit icon.
- The page will now show editable fields for the Description, Tags, and any Attributes.
- Make your desired changes.
- To save, tap the action button again and then tap the Save Changes icon. To cancel without saving, tap the Cancel icon.
Reporting or Resolving a Problem
Sometimes, an item’s real-world status changes. It might get damaged, go missing, or simply be moved to a new spot. The “Problem” sheet helps you log these changes accurately.
- From the item detail page, tap the main action button.
- Tap the Report/Resolve Problem icon (it looks like an error symbol).
- A sheet will slide up from the bottom with several options.
Move Item
Use this when the item is physically moved to a new location.
- Tap the Move Item button.
- In the “Where to?” screen, use the Find Location field to search for and select the item’s new location.
- Click Move.
Report Damage / Item Fixed
Use this to log when an item is damaged or has been repaired.
- If the item is NOT currently damaged:
- Tap the Report Damage button.
- Use the slider to rate the severity of the damage.
- Add a comment describing the issue and click Next.
- Click Save to confirm. The item will now be tagged as “damaged.”
- If the item IS currently damaged:
- The button will say Report Item Fixed. Tap it.
- Add an optional note about the repair and click Next.
- Click Save. The “damaged” tag will be removed.
Report Lost Item / Found Item
Use this to mark an item as missing or to mark a missing item as found.
- If the item is NOT currently lost:
- Tap the Report Lost Item button.
- You will have two choices:
- Delete: Permanently remove the item from your inventory. Use with caution!
- Mark as Lost: Keep the item in your inventory but add a “missing” tag.
- If the item IS currently lost:
- The button will say Found Item. Tap it.
- In the “Where does it go now?” screen, select the Location where the item was found.
- Click Submit. The “missing” tag will be removed.
